		<description>The best media player by far is mplayer, which openSUSE Folks can get from the Packman repository.  There&#039;s a nice alternate GUI, SMPlayer, written in Qt4, which users may find easier to use.

Ubuntu Folks will need to go directly to the mplayer website if not found in the commercial synaptic repo:

I wouldn&#039;t touch Banshee with a &#039;barge pole&#039;.
It&#039;s infected with &#039;Mono&#039;. ;)</description>
