A government&#039;s job is to organize the country to serve the needs of the country as best they can. When they see billions leaving the country and locals not being hired to code for M$ in the country, it is not hard to see that FLOSS and GNU/Linux could stimulate the economy and put people to work. It is easy to see that M$&#039;s history of insecurity, low interoperability, and illegal trade practices is enough to have them banned. Fining them does no good.

Some migrations pay back quickly. Others take a couple of years. I have no idea about South Africa. The South Africans may.</description>
