Microsoft has taken that philosophy about as far as any dirty politician ever did.  And they&#039;ve made billions as a result.  Why on Earth would they stop?

Hence, the vast bias in the public&#039;s perception in favor of Windows over Linux.  Propaganda is Microsoft&#039;s most successful product, far and away ahead of any of its operating systems.  GNU/Linux, thank Linus and Richard, is innocent of such deceits, and can with a clear conscience say its best product is the operating system.  

And I prefer to use my computer with the operating which is the best, not with the lesser OS which merely tries to fool me into believing it is the best.
